Ankara, 29 January -- The Turkish Group of the Inter parliamentary
Union met yesterday and elected the following new administrative committee:
president, Cihad Baban, Izmir; vice president, Fethi Celikbas, Burdur; account-
ant, Haluk Saman, Bursa; secretary general, Salamon Adato, Istanbul; members,
Abdurrahman Melek, Hatay; Ahmet Tokus, Antalya; Osman Kapani, Izmir; Ziyad
Ebuzziya, Konya; Firuzan Tekil, Istanbul; and controllers, Murat Ali Ulgen,
Konya, and Hakki Gedik, Kutabya.
TURKISH GROUP OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY UNION -- Ankara, Zafer, 13 Feb 53
The Turkish Group of the European Parliamentary Union met on 12 February.
After a discussion of the past year's efforts by official and unofficial organ-
izations toward achievement of a European union, the group elected the follow-
ing to the new administrative committee. president, Bahadir Dulger, Erzurum;
vice-president, M. Sevki Yazman, Elazig; secretary general, Zeyyat Mandalinci,
Mugla; accountant, Zuhuri Danisman, Bolu; members, Feridun Ergin, Urfa; Celal
Salt Siren, Hatay; Tahsin Inanc, Giresun; Adnan Karaosmanoglu, Manisa; and Sadik
Giz, Izmir.
The meeting elected Sur.ur Kerimzade, Kastamonu, and Ahmed Hamdi Basar,
Istanbul, as controllers.
TURKISH ASSEMBLY GROUP TO INDIA -- Istanbul, Vatan, 14 Feb 53
Ankara, 13 February The Grand National Assembly today selected the fol-
lowing 13 members of the parliamentary group which is to visit India: Samih
Inal; Halil Atalay; Haluk Samar; Niyazi Unal; Nusret Kiriscioglu; Behzat Bilgin;
Avni Yurdabavrak; Nail Gev=_?ci, Tarik Kozbek; Salih Fuad Kececi; Emin Develioglu;
Mufit Ezkuyumcu; Hamdi Dayl; and Teze_r Taskiran, One additional opposition dep-
uty will be named later.
The Assembly has also decided to send a ton-man group to visit the Turkish
Brigade in Korea.
