Approved FAuelease 2003/11/06 : CIA-RDP84-0098000400180003-8 DD/A/ODP WEEKLY REPORT Week of 25 March - 2 April 1981 I. Major Activities During the Past Week: A. Support to OC: MAINS (Management Information System) The Office of Communi- cation has completed acceptance testing of Phase I of MAINS. MAINS consists of a GIM data base containing station information and circuit efficiency traffic statistics for each station in the OC communications network. B. Support to OCR: AUTODIR (OCR Automated Directories) The Near East/South Asia (NS) segmented file has been added to OCRDIR data base as the 16th country organization. C. Support to PTO: 0 CAMS (COMIREX Automated Management System) The Dual Mode interface/regression testing activities have culminated this week in the successful completion of the most extensive testing of software, hardware and communications facilities experienced to date in the CAMS project. D. Support to OGSR: CARTDEV (Development of New Cartographic Programs) Chief, B Division was briefed on Carto-Graphic Division facilities and ADP plans. The Chief, Carto-Graphic Div. asked to have their FY '81 contribution to the IBM contract ($35,000) de-obligated since a new analyst would not be on the project until FY '82. E. Support to OL: FARS (Federal Automated Requisitioning) The Users are con- tinuing with their final acceptance testing of the FAR system. SAB/OL is still coordinating with Data General and DATEX personnel to resolve the remaining communications problems. SCRIPT files were converted to ETECS format and transmitted over the data link with only one minor format problem. ODP/SPD will work on this problem during the next week. P&PD Support. Work is underway to copy WANG word processor output onto an IBM compatible tape using a MITRON device. The tape will be used to input the data to VM for transmission to ETECS. Record length problems are being addressed by representa- tives of MITRON. F. Support to OF: ACIS (Automated Compensation and Information System) The new payroll system project team was organized this week. The team OF. Orientation meetings were held, project methodology decided, and tasking allo- cated for: (1) the Functional Requirements Doc m_e t (2) the Pro- ject Development Plan, (3) the Interface ocuments, and (4) the Master Data Elements List. The RFP and Evaluation Plan for B Division Software Mainte- nance Support went through a formal document review this week. Several minor changes were recommended, but the documents other- wise passed review.
