On 14 July, a soldier of the unit picked up 36 hundred weights of potatoes at a depot at the railroad station and ordered 2 hundredweights of cherries. 1 .2. On 7 July, between 6 a.m. and 8 a?m~,, a train, of 3 '::oxears, 8 converted boxcars, 15 flatcars and 3 S.$-type cars, loaded with 8 guns, probably of 76 mm caliber, and 12 to 15 trucks arrived in WWWerneuchen and was unloads at the airfield"' The A1`' guns were emplaced along the western 3? The fuel dump in the open just west of the northern dump was re:ioved, including barrels stored in an open shed;. There were no 11--28s rkeci at the field. The aircraft, probably Pe 2s, which had formerly been observed in the twe western hangars, were stripped and stored on the athletic field, The lighting facilities along the runway and the flying lane vare removed.
