MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Meeting with Representative George H. Mahon
1. Pursuant to the Director's request, Mr. Warner met with
Representative George H. Mahon to discuss the possibility of the
Director coming before the Mahon Defense Subcommittee some time
next week to review the so-called picture gap. I indicated the
Director was concerned about this matter and wished Mr. Mahon's
views. Mr. Mahon seemed sympathetic and said he would advise
later since he was in a hurry at this point.
2. Later in the day, Mr. Mahon sent word through Bob
Michaels that he had no objection to this procedure and he would
leave it to the staff of the Committee and the Agency to set a time
and make other arrangements.
