started recently Zp-rior to July 1953 -to^produce a new type of lighting
and will be operated by specially adapted dynamos. The man responsibl
for the research on this invention was the chief engineer in the
electrical department '02': Ing. (fnu) Holy. The tubes have been
already tested and the future production has been destined for the
USSR.
2. "On 22 July 53 a representative of the Soviet Trade Mission in Czecho-
J (fnu) Sionkin visited the West Moravia Machinery Plant to
inspect the stock of machinery which was due to be dispatched to the
USSR by the end of July. The main reason for his visit was the delay
in deliveries. The planned plant production for Soviet orders in the
first half of 1953 was at least by 10% lower than expected. The techni- /'.
cal manager (vedouci provozu).(fnu) Zahradnicek was strongly reprimanded
by the Soviet representative, Siomkin,for having failed to secure
sufficient raw materials and manpower. Zahradnicek had to pledge that
all the orders for the first six months of 1953 would be completed by
the end of July and dispatched in time."
