TRACER ~ The date for this debate is still to be worked out', with any Sunday-Thursday from mid-January to mid-April as a { possibility (please let me know what is good for you). The plan that we usually follow for the evening is a ~ dinner with Union members, followed by a press conference, and then the debate. The general format of our keynoted debates is addresses by the keynoting experts, followed by questions and student.~speeches, and the finally summing up speeches by the experts. Of course this is a flexible schedule,. so if any part of it causes problems for you, please contact me and we will try to work something out. As for financial arrangements, the Political Union can not offer. an honorarium. However, we would be happy to reimburse you for transportation costs, as well as provide you w~i.th accomodations on campus should you choose to spend the night. While I would prefer to welcome you as an expert in a keynoted debate, if this is not possible, perhaps you could give an independent address. In any event, I look forward to hearing from you either to accept our invitation or with any questions that you might have. Thank you. Sincerely, . ~Q o~3. ~~n.. Joel D.
