1. The 13 Decembrie Textile Factory, at one time called Balcan and later Texacom,
is under the, Ministry of Light Industry. The factory is located at Strada
LaculCu Tei, No. 17, Bucharest. It employs 350 workers in two shifts and 40
to 50 clerks.
2. Its equipment consists of 320 small loomal 1 50 large Jacquard 25X1
looms, of thich only 30 to 35 are working; five spooling machines, each with
21 spindles; one spooling machine with 42 spindles; two Zettel bobbin machines;
two Konus bobbin machines; three twisting machines with 96 spindles (two for
cotton and one for reclaimed waste-wool); and two winding machines. The
factory also has two steam boilers, one producing three and one five atmo-
spheres of pressure.
3. The daily output of the factory consists of 6,000 to 6,500 meters of linen,
thick twill, and cotton cloth. The quantity provided for in the plan was
7.,5000 meters. Production includes sheets, woven 1.20 meters wide, for the
army,

The fuel used is mazout, and about 1.6 tons are used per day (17 hours for
two shifts).
