Zaleakiego in Stettin 19 January 1955 25X1 1. From 11 to 19 December 1954, the barracks installation of the Polish border guard troops near Firechfelde (N 53/V 06) quartered about 200 border guards, some of whom were assigned border-patroling missions and some train-escorting missions. The soldiers were not supposed to talk to German railroad officials in the trains, but recently displayed more kindness. the conditions in the Polish border sector near Hirschfelde seemed to be quieter than before. this was obvious from the smaller number of permanent sentries and the relaxing intensity of service activity. In December 1954, the narrow tracing zone was newly harrowed, while the lookout posts were occupied as usual.'Patrols generally consisted of two soldiers who carried submachine guns. 2. Between 9 and 13 October 1954, a military installation of three buildings which was surrounded by a narrow greens was observed on the northwest side of ul.Bogd.Zaleskiego and west of Al. 25X1 Wojeka Polakiego in Stettin (0 54/c1 55). A Polish sentry who wore a khaki uniform and red collar patches stood in front of each building and at the front side of the installation which fronted Al. ;9ojeka Polakiego. A flag mast with the Polish banner was observed in front of one of the buildings. Soldiers and officers in neat uniforms were observed at the windows. No motor vehicles were parked in the area of the installation. 1 3. Between 9 and 13 October 1954, 12 wrecking trucks of the Polish? Armed .Fort a were observed travellin,-_ downtown on__~ Wojaka Polskiego.7 The platform 25X1 of each truck mounted a crane, while the sides of the trucks.were Aquipped with fixtures supporting H-shaped rails.
