Warehouse No. 509 contained burlap sacks tied in 90- to 120-kilogram bundles. Each sack was marked with a green circle within which was the character "fa" (4099). The sacks were being loaded into barges for transfer to a large ship. Warehouse 25X1 No. 507 contained soybeans packed in burlap sacks with the marking "she" (4357). Metal ingots were stored between warehouses No. 505 and No. 506. in Shanghai was numbered consecutively from 501 to 509. The warehouses were 25X1 a row of warehouses at the Kaoyang (7559/7122) Road pier houses, except for No. 517 that was two stories high, were all old, large, one-story buildings that had turned grey.
