construct,-,d by the A1lgemeineElektric-,itaets Gesellschaf (AEG)in Berlin
and was delivered in 1913.1
b. One turbo-generator with a capacity of 16,000 KW. This machine was
constructed by AM and delivered in 1917.2
c. One turbo-generator with a capacity of 45,000 KW. This machine was
constructed by AEG and delivered in 1942.
d. One turbo-generator with a capacity of 45,000 KW. This machine was
constructed by AEG and delivered in 1951.
e. One turbo-generator with a capacity of 45,000 KW. This machine was
in 1952.
f. One turbo-generator with a capacity of 18,000 KW. This machine was
constructed by AED and delivered in 1915.
The Chorzow power plant formerly had a total of twelve turbines but they
were all very old machines. Most of them were constructed before World
War I and had a capacity of only 3,000 to 10,000 KW.3 These machines have
either been scrapped to make room for the larger turbines delivered to the
plant in recent years or art standing idle waiting to be scrapped. It is
believed that only the six turbines listed above were in operation as of
March 1955.
