Munitions Factory 110. 31 is located in the town of Konakie (1151-12, 320-25), It is at the northern end of Konskie and on the east side of the road to Prsysucha (1151-22, 220-37). The new road to Radon is about 300 meters north of the factory. The factory complex covers an area of about 1,200 x 350 meters. 2. The factory consists of the following buildings s a. Guardhouse; a single-story structure yhich is on the left of the main entrance, be Guardhouse near the second entrance with a small section for the guard detail, c. Main warehouse behind the guardhouse near the second entrance; this ware- house contains all the raw materials required by the factory. d. Administration building; a two-story structure near the main warehouse, e. Sheds located behind the administration building. 3. The main production of the factory consists of infantry aa*unition up to 20 millimeters. In Section IV explosive shells and 20-millimeter tracers are filled, and caps are put into cartridge cases. 4. The weekly production capacity is as follows: 2 million 7.92-caliber cart- ridges; one million 7.62 cartridges; 100,000 12.7 cartridges; 10,000 20- caliber cartridges; and 25,000 9-caliber cartridges for pistols. At least 70 percent of the factoryis total production is shipped to the USSR. Although the Polish infantry is eghipped mainly with Czech rifles, Models 98 and CZ-211, it still requires a supply of 7.92-millimeter ammunitions As soon as the Palish armed forces are completely equipped with Soviet carbines, production of 7.92- millimeter ammunition will discontinue and the machinery will be converted for the manufacture of 7.62-millimeter ammunition. Approved For Release 2008/05/29: CIA-RDP80-00810A007400470003-9 Approved For Release 2008/05/29: CIA-RDP80-0081 OA007400470003-9 S-EmC-R-E-T NOFORN 2 The machinery includes 16 automatic machines which produce cartridge oases for 7.92 and 7.62-millimeter rifles; 6 automatic machines for 12.7 millimeter Beresina (sic) ammunition; Q automatic machines for 20-millimeter rifles; and 4 automatic machines for 20-millimeter aircraft guns. The automatic machines come from Vlasim, Czechoslovakia. Raw materials, for the most part, are supplied by the USSR. 6. Lladyalaw lorzynaki, engineer., is director of the factory; Jan Kupczyk, engineer, is assistant director and chief of sections; Capt. Jozef Kolwoczyk, engineer, is foreman of Section IV; and Maj. Jenceslaw Boguslawski is surveillance officer. 7. The factory operates in three shiftss 0600-11100 hours; 1100-2200; and 2200- 0600 hours. There is a 10-minute break every two hours during which time machines continue to operate, but are guarded by only a few workers. At the end of four work hours., there is a one-half hour lunch period. 8. The factory is guarded by the factory guards who are armed with submachine guns.
