The dissolution of the Magdeburg stock of the East German Trading Agency for
Metallurgy (Deutsche Handelszentrale Metallurgie) (DHZM) was concluded on 30
April 1955. The remnants of the stock were shipped to the warehouse, the for-
mer Messingfabrik (brass factory) Kretzer & Busse, at 130 Sahnellerstrasse in
the Soviet Sector of Berlin. The remnants consisted of 115 tons of WM-16 of
babbitt imported from the USSR, approximately 8 tons of semifinished aluminum,
10 tons of semifinished copper, 20 tons of semifinished brass, and small amounts
of other metals such as lead, argentine, etc.
