The weather was hazy. About 40 single--en4;isne, low-wing mono- planes with in-line engines) a weapon in the cockxit which pointed upward and to the rear) and an antenna rod on top of the frost section of the cabin were seen. ;;n antenna loci. from the rod to the upper edge of the rudder aspen ly. (1) About 5 or 6 single-engine, low-wing mono- planes of the sanw t7 wore dispersed separately in the northeastern section of the; field. ?..bout 20 to 25 s? n?le-engine, low-owing monoplanes, apparently of the same tj, were parked in the southern section of the field, in front of the hangars. (1) All of these planes and those on the northern edge of the field were covered with tarpaulins. There was no flying. ,I new radio installation with four r sts was recently erected on the northern edge of the field, near the entrance to the field. The masts, about 4 to ; meters hiryh, were braced on all sides. A trailer, about 25X1 1.3 meters high, was in the cantor of the square of masts. There was no wire connected between the trailer and the mists. (3) Jeep and trucks were seen entering and 25X1 leaving ne arracks north of the field which were occupied by soviet Air Force troops. At about 11 a.m., six air force soldiers, apparently the relief sentries, marched out of the barracks toward the landing field The high lookout post on the northern edge of the field was occupied by one sentry. 5. Three new lights were seen on the western edge of the field. (4) The old lighting facilities were still in poor condition. One of the two ground attack regiments has leading edges of the rudder assembly and the other regiment has trailing edges of the rudder assembly. The radio installation is provably an Adcock DF station.
