THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
In Attachment 1 is a list of the departments into which Zeiss is divided,
with the breakdown of most of the main departments into their. subsirlfary
divisions and the names of the leading personalitiesin..each such depart-
ment or division..
In Attachment 2 is a diagram showing the chain of eommand.in regard to the
major departments,
A.fairly extensive reorganization of leading personalities is expectec.to
take place in the near future to accommodate the considerable number of.
specialists and scientists who recently returned from the USSt: ~ On. Russian
orders, these repatriates are to be given positions in. the,plant, which_~_will ''
in. each case be higher than the position held by the repatriate before going
to the USSR in 1945 and 1946. This cannot be done without displacing a
number of the present occupants of senior posts, many of them reliable SED
members, ands as a results the order has not yet been complied with except
in the case of a small proportion of the repatriates., mostly those who aid
not hold a particularly high position before and can therefore be more
easily accommodated with suitable positions now. The names of those who
have so far actually resumed work area Oehler, Rudolph, Haedrich, Schmidt,
Kessler, Faerber, Gehauer,. Langer, Schuchartt, Ansch-a;etz) and Bauer. The
latter is destined to become the head of a new subsidiary department "Foto-
Montage'
