Our RD A-4703
1. Pursuant to the above referenced request, the Bureau of Customs
reports that it does not have in its possession printed material relative to search
techniques and concealment devices. It does, however, offer a six weeks training
course on the subject at its New York office.
2. Customs officials here in Washington have informed us that the
only way that the desired information could be had would be to send personnel to
New York to either take the course or to confer with the instructors in private.
If the latter choice were made, perhaps the pertinent information for our purposes
could be obtained in a few days time.
3? Should you be interested in sending personnel to New York, this
Division will gladly effect the arrangements with the Bureau of Customs.
