SUBJECT . Gen. Cabell's Memo on the Recommendations
Contained in the IG Training Report

1. The second recommendation of our report is concerned with
adopting a designation of that reflects the scope and
purpose of this intelligence training center. The DDCI approved
the recommendation with the understanding that it referred only to
25X1A2g a change in name. This was not the intent of the recommendation.
It was directed at the much larger purpose of establishing
as a US intelligence training center to provide opera-
tional training for intelligence officers of all USIB agencies.
2. The more recent recommendation of the Joint Study Group
supersedes our recommendation and so may make a further discussion
of the subject purely academic. You may wish, however, to call
this to Gen. Cabell's attention if only to correct what appears to
be a misunderstanding.
