OCTOBER 12 MEETING SCHEDULED FOR BAYVIEW YACHT CLUB
The scene changes for our second meeting of the season but the setting
remains the same. Our first and very successful gathering, held at the Grosse Ile
Naval Station, was just a belaying pin's heave from water's edge, and our second
will look out over the broad expanse of the Detroit River. And for those members
nautical it's a fine chance to break out the natty blues, dust off the yachting
cap and heave to. Your means of transportation are wide open...over land or by the
sea. Our active Program Committee has whipped into shape a fine program, and our
speaker has a most provocative subject.
Here's how the ship's log will read for the evening:
DATE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12
TIldE: 6:00 PM Cocktails
7:15 PM Dinner (At the wonderful price of $3.50:)
8:15 PM "What's Wrong With Our Intelligence Service"

Colonel Kellis is now a political science lecturer at-the University of
Detroit. Born in Greece, Col. Kellis was a combat flier in WW 2, and served behind
enemy lines in the Balkans and China as an OSS officer.
After the war, he served in Washington and overseas with the Central
Intelligence Agency (CIA), later with NATO, then as instructor in the National War
College. His last active duty assignment was Commander of the Air Force ROTC at
the U of D.
Colonel Kellis lives in nearby Berkely, and is the Democratic candidate
for the U. S. Congress for the 18th Congressional District. He recently discussed
the strengths and weaknesses of American Intelligence Services on WJR's "Composite."
As you can see, members, this meeting has all the earmarks of being out-
standing, So, get that "ship" out of drydock and bring a guest. Don't miss this one:
