Dear Jim:
The SPO has sent me a copy of the 9 February 1966 Agreement
STA INTL on Acceptance signed by I have reviewed
this document together with the comments o the SFO pertaining
to this agreement.
STA INTL I lare very positive in their
representa on to me that s agreement d e not ter the
provisions of our mutual contracts. Rather, s Agreement on
STA INTL Acceptance was a means whereby could define
technical procedures and technical parameters ich accept-
ance of the contract items will be conducted. This approach is
commendable and necessary in approaching the step of acceptance.
My position is that this Agreement on Acceptance is subor-
STA INTL dinate to the contracts. Furthermore, I am assured byl
that the mutual intent of the agreement was to interpret the contract
and thereby define and apply rather specific steps essential in
conducting the acceptance tests.
The purpose of this letter is to advise you of my position
in this matter and to insure that you and I have a mutual under-
standing of the intent, purpose, and contractual effect of this
Agreement on Acceptance.
I shall appreciate your prompt reply and concurrence in
this matter.
