SUBJECT: OC-E Monthly Report - April, 1959
1. Forwarded herewith is the Engineering Staff Monthly
Report for the period 1 April 1959 to 30 April 1959.
2. During the reporting period, responsibility for the
operation of the Communications Engineering Library was trans-
ferred from the Office of Communications to the Office of Cen-
tral Reference. Shortly after the transfer was made, it became
apparent that confusion existed as to the responsibilities and
duties of the two Library employees. Several meetings have
since been held between CC and CIA Main Library representatives
in order to iron out these difficulties. During the past several
weeks, some improvement has been noticed and it is hoped that
this will continue.
3. All components for the one-kilowatt portable broadcast
package will be received by the end of June. This will permit
co-ordinated OC, DD(P) Staff field tests to begin in July, two
months ahead of the original September estimate.
