The recent flu epidemic on the West Coast resulted in extensive
sick leave by personnel assigned to this project. The task completion
will be delayed two weeks to the week ending 30 April 1966.. No addi-
tional funds will be required.
The majority of time on this visit was spent reviewing the
receiver specification. We reemphasized that this receiver shall
be so specified that improvements to its operational characteristics
can be done on a modular basis with no need for changes in the
receiver's basic construction. Thus, even though the receiver is
for the reception of triphase signals, other types and classes of
signals could be received by the addition of a module to the basic 25X1A6a
25X1A5a1 receiver. - has been in contact with both as
experts in the HF receiver business. The result is a very definitive
receiver specification from which we shall be able to obtain a first
class piece of equipment.
The remainder of the AR-18 system specification is defined in
block diagram but is not yet written up in the required format.
Completion should only be a matter of typing time and editing.
