3. The concept of the Inspection Division has more recently been that
of an inspection staff to perform special inspections of matters
in CIA where special security problems exist; to support operations
with security guidance as required; to make continuing security in-
spections of selected activities as directed; to perform special
services as directed; and to serve as the "Inspector General" for
the Security Officer, CIA, within IQSO.
