This instruction establishes a method for the correction "ILLEGAL CHARACTERS" which corrupt user data within the USF, IDF, CWVF, and the CRF files. This corruption is sometimes referred to by users as: RE- PEATING READOUTS, TARGET LOOPING, AND ROLLING SCREEN. REFERENCE 2. N/A PROCESSING 3. When a user calls for assistance the following information should be solicited: User name, organization and extension. (5) Sign on the System in XES mode. (6) On the OPTION DISPLAY, light pen either: 1st PHASE 11 (if EXPLOITATION LEVEL is P or C) 2nd PHASE (if EXPLOITATION LEVEL is S, B, 7, 0 or D) TRANSMIT (7) On the EXPLOITATION FUNCTIONS DISPLAY, light pen: . BAD CHARACTER SCAN ? TRANSMIT (9) On the BAD CHARACTER SCAN DISPLAY: Select the appropriate file and enter/or light pen the required data. EXAMPLE USF [X]STA-DES[-]DEF-SEC[-]OB[-]PHOT [0]4776]REC=MRN[P]XPL-LVL[KH5582]229]MSN-ID[0309]ISPASS (10) The OCO should then go to the appropriate display and determine that corrections have been made.
