Change4_ in Hospitalization Insurance 25X1 A9a pn April, :t with representatives of Mutual of Om. a to discuss any changes in our hospitalization plan which may be nec- essary or desirable. Such changes must be reported to the Civil Service Commission by 30 April. Based on an analysis of premiums and claims experience, the under- writer has determined that a premium rate increase will be necessary for the next contract year beginning 1 November lam. The Premium increase is estimated at it, which will still leave the cost of our hospitalization insurance below that currently charged by CHI and A,TNA, the two approved Government-wide plans. Even these plane are expected. to be raised this year. Various means by which to lessen the Agency's cost in offering an overall insurance program were also discussed. Specific proposals con- cerning means by which this can be done are being developed and will be submitted for review and approval. Importantly, however, we asked and obtained a commitment from the underwriter for a refund of 2% of the pre- miurds for the four air insurances. This will be the first time such pay- ment has been received. 25X1A 25X1A higher authority. 2.
