1Q ( Schoenefeld (N 53/Z 93) airfield is a Soviet civil airfield
used by high-ran'-ing Soviets and members of the German Soviet
Lone Government for flights to the east?rsoviet Colonel
i{ebrov (fnu), who, in February 1950 hac been in foscow for
some time, is the commandant of the field. An office of the
Polish Air Lines is located in a building at the southern
edge of the field,, The offices and stQ'age facilities of
the special construction bureau set ui.by the government :..
Potsdam are in a building at the northern edge of the field.
This special construction bureau has the mission of con-
structing and repairing buildings. Two large buildings were
repaired and equipped for occupation by about 200 Soviet
families. The chief of the construction bureau, 17inisterial-
rat Rama, (fnu) was arrested on 3 February 1950, allegedly
for black-market dealings in non-ferrous metals.

The fuel tank p.n.s allatiorf at the southern edge of t~ field
is oor posed of 10 underground tanks ' ,ith a total storage
capacity of 500,000 liters and three oil tanks with a total
capacity of 150,000 liters. The filled tanks constituted a
permanent reserve, while aircraft refueling was done from
railroad tank cars. The radio station in the southwestern
section of the field is permanently occupied by two German
operators and a Soviet supervisors
