1. In late July 1950 the headquarters of Grenzpolizei est/lord of Land
..ecklenburg was located in the Poli:zei. Kaserne on .Ierderstrasse, Schwerin
(IL 54/T 16), southwest of Heiden Lake, Chefinspekteur Pruefer. (fnu), was
identified as the cor :sanding officer and Oberkomissar Dobkowsl fnu'
PK--Leiter. Chefinspekteur Pruefer rode in passenger car 25X1
2. A VP school conraanded by VP-Rat Kollhof (fnu) was quartered in the same
barracks. Orerlcon]missar Schenk (fnu) was identified as the PK-Leiter.
The school was organized into an ordnance course. with 210 trainees detached
from all of the .est/Ford u renzbereitschaftens into a medical course of 70
and a cooking course of 20 -trainees, *.
3. A VI' guard battalion was also located in the Polizei Kass1-ne. I o companies
of the battalion were suddenly loaded on a train at the Schwerin freight
stationgdurin . tho night of 21 July 19505, and left toward Ludwi. gslust 54/
T 35) for an undetermined destination. The rooms that were vacated were
occq)ied by the trainees of the medical and cooking' courses who had rr eviously
been accomodated in a large classroom. The coiapaiT,r of the ;guard battalion 25X1
whichl remained at the installation numbered about 120 police.
