REFERENCES:
1. The Institute of Experimental Physics (Instytut Fizyki Eksperymental-
nej) was attached to the University of Warsaw. It was located at 69
Hoza Street, Warsaw, in an old building that stood alone in a garden
and was surrounded by an iron fence. In 1951 or 1952 a new building
was constructed and used as a high tension laboratory.
2. I heard that some experiments on atomic energy were carried out there.
I have no further information about the work except that studies and
research on experimental physics were 'carried on there by Professor
PIENKOWSKI and Professor SOLTAN.
3. I know that the Institute was not guarded and that there were no
standing security measuresin force regarding experiments conducted
there by the assistants and students.
