Liptovsky Svaty Mikulas to Poprad (N 49-03, E 20-18).
Aircraft Mechanic School, located on the northwest edge of
tDwn and about 10 m. south of the rail line, point 20 and
30 m. from the road, point 4. The area measured about 400 x
250 m.
Road, four meters wide, packed road from Liptovsky Svaty
Mikula north to Trstena (N 49-22, E 19-37) and asphalt
street through Liptovsky Svaty Mikulas.

Reference is made to page 5, memory sketch of the Aircraft Mechanic
School in Liptovsky Svaty Mikulas, on which source identified:
1. Road. (Same as point 4, page 2.)
2. Main entrance with a wooden bar across it. The entrance was
guarded 24 hours by two military guards equipped with sub-
machine guns from the guard post, point 3.
3. Guard post, brick, 5 x 3 x 4m., shed-type roof.
4. Brick building, 4 x 4 x 4 m., shed-type roof. This building
housed the Officer of the Guard who was also the Officer of
the Day.
5. Fence, mesh wire, two meters high; surrounded the entire area.
6. Street within the school area, partly packed and partly cobble-
stone, four meters wide.
7. Billets, brick, four-storyl *ream color outside walls, 35 x 12
x 15-20 m., low-pitched gable roof; housed sleeping rooms,
recreation room, and classrooms for theoretical instruction.
8. Laboratory and classrooms, brick, 20 x 8 z 5 a., single story;
there were long tables inside this building upon whioh aircraft
engine parts were set up for study purposes.
9. Brick building, single story, 20 x 8 x 5 in., low-itched gable
roof. Guards were dispatched from this building to various
posts within the area.
10. Laboratory, brick building, 25 x 8 x 5 a., single story.,
Fuselages of the following aircraft were displayed here for
study purposes: ME-109, 0-1o6 and ARAM
11. Laboratory, brick, 25 x 8 x 5 a., single story, low-pitched
gable roof. Radios and radio parts were displayed in this
building fonilitudy purposes.
12. Ordnance Laboratory, brick, 25 x 8 x 5 in., low-pitched gable
roof. Many types of ammunition, parts of submachine guns, and
components of bomb racks were placed on tables for study purposes.
13. Brick building, 10 x 5 x 4 m., gable roof, single story.

floor contained a kitchen andmesshall; the second floor was
made up of sleeping rooms, a classroom and recreation room.

Additional Information,
the Pilot Officers'
TrainIng center at molny =DUI were vaien vo vne Aircraft Mechanic
School in Liptovsky Svaty Mikulas to become acquainted with the school
area. The school in Dolny Kubin was discontinued and all dandidates
were to be placed in the Aircraft Mechanic School in Liptovsky Svaty
Mikulas; however, about 90% refused this transfer.1 50X1
\no ciasses were held on Sunday. All visiting men were divided into groups,
each group consisting of from eight to 10 people. Each group was
escorted by two or three chosen "agitators", as source called them,
who remained with the same group for the entire day. Political
Affairs officers moved among the groups and listened to comments
and general conversation. Source said they had no opportunity to
speak with the candidates of the Aircraft Mechanic School. They
were told that the course was to last a little over one year and
that upon graduation each candidate would receive the rank of
Junior Lieutenant (technician). Source reported that all the
buildings in the school were new and the school had been in existence
only three years. He recalled the fact that in October 1954 six
Junior Lieutenants, all aircraft technicians arrived in Mlada from
Liptovsky Svaty Mikulas. I
