Ithe section leader was responsible for
all supplies. He drew them directly from the regimental clothing
and equipment . (OTS - Obozno wash he go enabzheniya)' warehouse and
the regimental. ration (PPS - Prodovolstvenno furazhnogo snabzhen-
iya) dump.
In each battery the first sergeant maintained a small
eupply'room for issue.of expendables such as soap, toilet paper,
brooms, and brushes. He was responsible to the battery O far
receiving other equipment and supplies from the regimental oloth-
ing'and equipment warehouse,
each regiment had an OTS ware-
house and a FE'S warehouse headed by an officer;

medical unit. There was also a dispensary at division headquart-
ers. All the dispensaries and medical units were responsible to"
the senior medical officer of the division, a lieutenant colonel
