"Training Center". This building was primarily used for official
meetings of officers and EM but often it was used for transient billets.
When civilian teachers from the Soviet Union arrived in August and
September 1954 for the.Soviet dependent school in Baden, they were
billeted here temporarily and then moved to permanent quarters in
Baden.
7. Quarters for the 735th Sep Radio Communications Bn - One-story brick
building, approximately 50 x 20 m, All of the battalion EM were
billeted here with the exception of the Tug Plat.
8. A two-story brick building, approximately 70 x 20 m. On 'the first
floor were the battalion Tng Plat, and the battalionespply room. The
offices of the Bn Hq, as well as classrooms for the SM and officers,
were on the second floor.
9. Hq Building for a= Sig Regt - Two-story brick building.
0. Two-story brick building, approximately 75 x 20 m. Housed a club, a
guardhouse, and quarters for officers of the Sig Regt. The club which was
for the Sig Regt, and a small guardhouse which was for the whole
caserne and could accommodate approximately eight prisoners were
located on the first floor. Also on the first floor were quarters
for the signal regiment's guard detail. Quarters for some of"the
Sig Regt's officers. and their dependents were locatedon the second floor.
1. Mess Hall for Transients and Officers and Dependents - One-story brick
building, approximately 75 x 20 m. .This mess hall was used for all
transients, including both Soviet military personnel and civilians.
Officers and their dependents also used this mess hall but paid for
their food. It was operated by Soviet civilians, both men and women.
PX: A one-story brick building, approximately 15 x 20 m. All types of
food stuffs were bought here by the Soviet dependent families, Soviet
civilians, and soldiers in the caserne.

building, approximately 15 x 25 m. Large repair.jbbs were done in
this repair shop which had several grease pits.

building used by all personnel in the caserne, including civilian
employees and dependents.
3. Small Arms Range - Could accommodate ten men on the firing range.
The distance from most remote firing position to targets was 150 in.
-4. One-story brick building - Wing (a) of building approximately 30 x 10 m,
Wing (b) approximately 25 x 20 m. This building housed the garage for
the 735th Sep Radio Communications Bn. 'All the trucks that were in
the battalion, with the exception of the POL truck, were kept in the
garage at ai:4 t7.7rmes, exc^pt for training purposes when they were
moved into the court yara, A room set aside for the storage of
spare radio equipment parts was also in this building.

gasoline stored in barrels.
