D1ST.'.L 3.9,-,April 1947 PAGES 3 SUPPLEMENT ATTACMENT s YAP SUBJECT Skopios (Cerkije) Airfield 25X1X 25X1A ORIGIN The airfield at Skopiase (45?55? 15?32?9) was used as as emergency landing strip be- fore April 194', and was enlarged by the Germans during the war, Five kilometers west of the village of Bresice and appr.xi- Lsoaoratiom mately 35 kilometers northwest of Zagreb, the field is situated eight kilometers; west of the Bremice railroad road. station and 600 meters north of the Ljubljana Zagreb Field The field has a soft surface of ,called gravel and salad with grass growing in it and is approximately 1000 meters long and 700 motors wide.. It could easily be enlarged to 2000 square meters. Other than mobile searchlights, there is no illumination system. Operations Tower A mobile former GAF operations tower is being used. No radar facilities exist. agars Construction of two concrete underground hangars was be- gun during the war and is being completed by the Yugo- Two slavs. These will aocoaodate 40 twin--eagilae bomberso hangars on the surface of the field are of steel and wood construction and have a total capacity of eight twiner gins bombers.
