1. At a special session of district i e. dens of the SED in Potsdam on 3 Decer!ber
Kreuziger of the SED Central Secretariat made the fcllctzng announcement
2. The SMA intends to replace the SED with a new Russian Zone party to be known
as the "Sammlungsbewegung Deutsche Republik (SDR)", under the leadership of
Nadolny. Members of Freies ]Deutschland also will become officials of the Party,
and many CDU members are expected to join. General policies include Grman'
unity, socialization, a federal constitution, tax and denazification reform,
and modified land reform. The foreign policy will emphasize dismantlings
as full reparations to the Cheat Powers, reparations to Small Powers from
current production under UNO control, alliance with Russia;, special compensatic;;a
to France, and "economic treaties with the Balkan countries,, Finland, Poland,
Czechoslovakia, The platform is designed to attract, the average German away fr?::m.

3. A similar Party is planned for the western zones as a separate organization
under SchonaichhKarolath, former President of "Friecensgesellschaft"., '
It will have the same policies as its counterpart in the Eastern Zon{s/

name will probably be "Deutschrepublikanische Pa rtes. (DttP)" or "National
Liberale Deutsche Freiheitsu-Parteir.

4. SED leaders are urged to follow the SMA program in the "Cold War" against
the United. States, No shooting war is anticipated because of the expected
American economic crisis in 1944
5. Kreuziger said privately that he thought Nadolny would he * elected as
