(RCP) emergency meeting was held on 16 September, attend,ii by the following

Thakin PE THAN was Chairman of the meeting, while Thakin CHIT acted as
Secretary.
After giving an account of Bo RUN ZAWI's activities and his subsequent execut_in
Bo YAW AUNG emphasized the need for maintaining an arrr free from opportunist
and treacherous elements.** The BCP, he said, was strong enough to fight the
Government, but. that the opportunity for an all out effort had not yet cam
'Upper Burma was ready,, but the morale of the Peoples Volunteer Organization (P\.)
and BCP in Pegu District was low, owing to bad leadership. All leaders in
Central and Lower Burma would therefore devote their energies towards improving
their own leadership and raising the morale of their forces.
