SUBJECT: Panel Organization of the President's Foreign
Intelligence Advisory Board
In the course of the first meeting of President Nixon's
Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, held on April 17-18, 1969,
the Board established a Panel system to assist in the conduct
of Board business in between meetings of the full Board. For
your information there is enclosed a listing of the Panels and
of the Board members assigned to each.
From time to time in the future, members of these Panels
and the Board's Executive Secretary, Mr. J. Patrick Coyne,
will be in touch with you and/or your representatives for
the purpose of arranging briefings and holding discussions
on matters of interest to the Board Panels and to the full
Board.
The members of the Board look forward to working closely
with you on matters of mutual interest and-we are hopeful that
in this manner we may be of some assistance in effecting improve-
ments in the foreign intelligence process,
