The now accommodations for Alma-Ata Medical Institute are built by the Construction Office of Medical Institute (Stroykontora Medinistituta). the construction work is supervised by the Ministr 2. The complex of 11 three and four story buildings in the shape of a rectangular with the compound in the middle occupies the whole block on Komsomollskaya Street between Dunganskaya and Uzbekskaya Streets. All buildin.s are connected to each other by a system of corridors and viadlic's. The constructi-.n of the building complex was, in general, completed = and only the interior touch up had t-, be done. The full accomplishment of the project is scheduled for the end of 1958. 3. It was equipped with some 300 Gaz-51 and Zia-150 make trucks which fulfilled one-time orders and long term contracts for transportation of various heavy goods for the S-viet enterprizes and private citizens. In this shop about 40 machines were sarviced by 1-2 workers. Cotton Ginning Factory (Khlopzavod). Located some ?00 m. from No. 5 7. S. RR Passenger and Freight stations. Vineyards adjacent to No. 1. Located about 3,000 m. from No. 1. Eight cm. in diameter underground cable to the power stati~n of No. 1. Cable location is indicated by the dotted lire. Marked by "x" is the spot where in 1~58 the cable was dug out because of an accident. On this occa$iin the Combine was for the whole day out of operation. The time board system by which the badges were hung on the board by entering the plant and were taken off when leaving after work was discontinued at this Combine a few years ago. MENNEN each employee possesses a pass, 5 x 10 ca. (large dimension - left to right), made out of cardboard and wrapped in red or dark-blue calico fabric. This pass consists of a folding cover only, on the inside of which are printed the name and the department of the pass holder.
