Work on the port is proceeding rapidly because of good weather.
the section of the pier towards the sea is about
finished] it is within a hundred meters of the breakwater. At the present
time four ships can moor and load and unload. The arearopppsitecthe pier
is being paved with concrete. Work has been begun on the opposite shore
where the oil pier is to be constructed.
the work will still last approximately two years. The dredges observed
continue dredging the bottom.
The port pier was encumbered with various material (barrels of soda and
sugar, a type of sulphur, metal ingots, rolled metal and coal).
Sukoy Liman should
become the most important coal port.

The 1orthern part of the lake penetrates in the form of a river for several
kilo4eters. Drainage operations are in progress in this area; this work is
procieding very slowly and swampy areas are observed in most places. Vineyards
and (grain are cultivated in the area.
