SUBJECT: Senior Interagency Group for Refugee Policy
(SIG/RP) to determine FY 1985 Refugee Admission
Numbers for Recommendation to the President
Ambassador H. Eugene Douglas, U.S. Coordinator for Refugee
Affairs, is convening a meeting of the SIG/RP on Tuesday,
July 3, 1984 in the Indian Treaty Room of the Old Executive
Office Building from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

The agenda will deal with both the selection of the
refugee admission numbers to be recommended to the President
as the Administration's position for FY 1,985 and the issue
of Cuban political prisoners. Background. papers are
available from' the. Office' of U.S. Coordinator for Refugee
Affairs.
