We appreciate your offer of 18 October 1985 to have the General
Services Administration contract for us in the area of employee relocation
services and we applaud your efforts. Unfortunately, given the mission of
our Agency and the need to protect the identities of our employees, such
an arrangement would not meet our requirements. The recent Executive
Order 12522 authorizes the Director of Central Intelligence to promulgate
Agency domestic relocation regulations in consultation with the Administrator
of General Services and we believe this mechanism is best suited to satisfy
our domestic relocation requirements. We do, however, appreciate your
keeping us in mind and wish you well in this important endeavor.
