We also requested a senior representative of the company contact our Mr. J. R. Livingston. Ferman Schiebout, Sales Manager, Trane, contacted Mr. Livingston but did not commit to bidding, he tried to sell Jim on specifying Trane equipment. After that, Jack Yorke of our office, again, initiated discussion with the three potential bidders. Enclosed is Jack's documentation of those discussions all with local Detroit sales office staff. Yorke and Various Chiller Manufacturers and were asked if they would submit a bid based on Lite following criteria: A. 6 Machines B. Minimum of 1350 Tons Each C. 4160 Volt Motor D. 58? to 42? Chilled Water Temperature E. 850 Condenser Water F. Delivery 6 Months After Receipt of Approved Shop Drawings All manufacturers were given the following design parameters. 1. Carrier: Mr. John Zappitel, Manager of the Detroit Sales Office, indicated Carrier would bid their Model EF, a combi- nation of their EB compressor and FA shells, hermetic- type machine. 2. York: Mr. Bob Harnetsky, Manager of the Detroit Sales office, indicated York would bid their Model HT hermetic-type machine. 3. Trane: Mr. Bob North, Manager of the Detroit Sales Office, indicated Trane would bid their Model CVHB hermetic- type machine but suggested the bid might be a courtesy bid since Trane could meet tonnage requirements with five of the same type machines in lieu of six.
