YOSHKAR-OLA ICBM COMPLEX, USSR
ALL KNOWN COMPONENTS OF THE COMPLEX ARE
COVERED ALLOWING AN OVERALL VIEW OF SINGLE-
SILO DEPLOYMENT AT THIS COMPLEX; TWO PROBABLE
LAUNCH SITES ARE NEWLY IDENTIFIED.
THE COMPLEX IS LOCATED GENERALLY EAST OF
THE CITY OF YOSHKAR-OLA, APPROXIMATELY
400 NM ENE OF MOSCOW.
THE SITES ARE OF AN UNDETERMINED 25X1
TYPE; NONE EXHIBITS THE TYPICAL SIGNATURE OR
CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE NORMALLY ASSOCIATED
WITH EITHER TYPE IIIC OR TYPE IIID SINGLE-
SILO LAUNCH SITES.

PLEX IN THE USSR AT WHICH SINGLE-SILO

DEPLOYMENT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. PRIOR TO
THE IDENTIFICATION OF SINGLE-SILO DEPLOY-
MENT, THE COMPLEX CONTAINED SIX SOFT LAUNCH
SITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SS-7 ICBM (THREE
TYPE IIB AND THREE TYPE IID).
TO DATE, 17 SINGLE-SILO LAUNCH SITES
(2 OF WHICH ARE CONSIDERED PROBABLE) AND
TWO LAUNCH CONTROL FACILITIES (7A AND 22B)
HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED.

9. MISSION READOUT: ALL KNOWN COMPONENTS OF THE COMPLEX ARE COVERED,
THIS INCLUDES TWO NEWLY IDENTIFIED LAUNCH SITES OF AN UNDETERMINED
TYPE, DESIGNATED PROBABLE SITES 28 AND 29. SITE 21 IS NO LONGER CON-
SIDERED A VALID SITE AND IS BEING DROPPED FROM NPIC LISTINGS; PROBABLE
SITE 24 IS NOW CONFIRMED.
EXPANSION OF THE RAIL-TO-ROAD TRANSFER POINT IS OBSERVED TOWARD
THE COMPLEX MAIN ROAD TO INCLUDE FIVE BUILDINGS AND SCARRING FOR ADDI-
TIONAL BUILDINGS,
PROBABLE SITE 28 CAN BE NEGATED
BOTH SITES ARE IN AN UNDETERMINED 25X1
