INTERCEPT CAPABILITY.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: SOVIET-MADE FLOGGER G, AN ADVANCED INTERCEPTOR
WITH LIMITED LOOK-DOWN/SHOOT-DOWN CAPABILITY, IS OBSERVED FOR
THE FIRST TIME IN THE MIDDLE EAST AT SAYQAL AIRFIELD.
PREVIOUSLY, THE FLOGGER G HAS BEEN SEEN ONLY IN THE SOVIET
UNION AND EASTERN EUROPE. ONE FLOGGER G IS ON A FUELING APRON
WITH A SERVICE VEHICLE NEARBY. TWO PROBABLE FLOGGER G ARE'.
PARKED IN SEPARATE DISPERSAL AREAS. OTHER AIR ORDER-OF-BATTLE
(NOT ON GRAPHIC) INCLUDES TWO FLOGGER B (ARMED WITH APEX
AIR-TO-AIR MISSILES) AND 24 OTHER FLOGGER.
