VIETNAM.
THE DUMMY TANKS ARE IN AN OPEN AREA IN THE
VICINITY OF LANG TICH TUONG VILLAGE AND 2.1
NAUTICAL MILES (NM) SSW OF QUANG TRI CITY,
SOUTH VIETNAM AT 16-43-09N 107-10-30E.
REMARKGS%MISSION READOUT: ON 25 MARCH 1974, FIVE DUMMY TANKS WERE
IDENTIFIED DISPERSED THROUGHOUT AN OPEN AREA IN THE VICINITY OF LANG TICH TUONG
VILLAGE. THE AREA ALSO CONTAINED 12 BUNKERED BUILDINGS, NUMEROUS INTER-
CONNECTING PERSONNEL TRENCHES, AND LIGHT ANTIAIRCRAFT WEAPONS POSITIONS (AAW).
THE DUMMY TANKS OBSERVED WERE CONSTRUCTED OF EARTH. EACH TANK MOCKUP HAD A
CHASSIS, TURRET, AND A LONG TUBULAR OBJECT RESEMBLING A GUN. THE TANK MOCKUPS
WERE APPROXIMATELY 22 FEET LONG AND 10 FEET WIDE. ALTHOUGH THE DUMMY TANKS LACK
DETAILS,'IT IS LIKELY THAT THEY WOULD BE MISTAKEN FOR REAL TANKS BY A SPOTTER
AIRCRAFT.
