(TSR) SIGNIFICANCE: THE POSSIBLE SECOND UNIT OF THE TYPHOON-CLASS NUCLEAR-POWERED BALLISTIC MISSILE SUBMARINE 2. (TSR) REMARKS: A SECTION OF THE POSSIBLE MISSILE BAY OF THE TYPHOON SSBN IS SEEN IN THE LAUNCH DOCK ON IDEX (IMAGE DATA EXPLOITATION) PARATIONS FOR A TYPHOON SSBN WERE OBSERVED THE LAUNCH DOCK FLOOR WAS 25X1 CLEAR AND DID NOT HAVE THE BILGE BLOCKS REQUIRED FOR THE LAUNCH OF AN OSCAR NUCLEAR-POWERED CRUISE MISSILE ATTACK SUBMARINE, THE ONLY OTHER SUBMARINE CONSTRUCTED IN HALL 3. TYPHOON SSBN (UNIT 1) HAS DEPARTED OPENING UP THE 25X1 FITTING-OUT QUAY FOR UNIT 2. BETWEEN 0723Z AND 1132Z ON 25 SEPTEMBER, THE LAUNCH DOCK WAS MOVED FROM LAUNCH RAIL 3 TO LAUNCH RAIL 2. (TSR) TYPHOON SSBN (UNIT 1), WHICH WAS ROLLED OUT THE FITTING-OUT QUAY. REMAINED IN THE LAUNCH DOCK IN FRONT OF WHEN IT WAS LAUNCHED AND MOVED TO COORDINATES 64-34-39N 039-48-29E These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed ana- lytical work.
