The Nation will observe the 9th annual Armed Forces Day
May 10 thru may 18, 1958. In Washington the observance will
take place on May 10th and 11th.
On behalf of the Armed Forces in the Washington area, I have
the honor of extending to you an invitation to visit the exhibitions
and observe the demonstrations to be held at Andrews Air Force
Base. The exhibitions will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. May 10th and from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. on May 11th.
The demonstrations will begin at 2 p.m. each day.
The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and, Coast Guard
will display some of the latest military equipment. The program
will include guided missiles and industrial exhibits by leading
defense manufacturers. The demonstrations will include tactical
aircraft from all the services and the .most modern ground equip-
ment.
So that appropriate arrangements can be made it would be
appreciated if you would complete and return the inclosed response
card at your earliest convenience. Upon receipt of this completed
response card, tickets for the reviewing stand and a parking
sticker for your automobile will be mailed to you.
