NEW PRODUCTS TO BE SHOWN AT ZAGREB FAIR -- Zagreb, VJesnik, 23; 25 Sep 50
The "Prvoma,jska" Machine Tool Factory will exhibit the prototype of a machine
for the production of drills9 a 29800-rpm T:CZ 3sthe9 a D-40 metal-processing ms-
chine capable of 29400 rpm, and a universal mill c? `ter capable of 600 rpm.
The "Ivo Lola Ribar" Factory will exhibi~ ,eccentric press with a pressure
of 100 tons9 designed by Engr Edi SJenica, r:?? ;tic iron-cutting shears, and in-
gct-grinding machines>
The "Aleksandar Rankovic" Enterprise in Rijeka will exhibit an eight-cylinder9
450-horsepower Diesel engine.
The "LitostroJ" Enterprise will exhibit a l7-ton spiral Francis turbine9
designed by Robert Kasovic, and a 20-ton Kaplan turbine with an 8-metex axle an'
a 2,200-horsepower rotor, behind which is a regulator with a capacity of 19500
kilogram-meters. The entire ,turbine weighs 60 tons.
The "Ventilator" Enterprise in Zagreb will exhibit the OA-75 calorifier,
which has a heating surface of over 31 square meters,
The "Rade Koncar" Enterprise will exhibit athree-phase asynchronous generator
with a capacity :0~:2~000'kiloVOlt-amperes, which is intended for the power plant
in Dvor on the Una River. The enterprise will also exhibit three phase oil-cooled
transformers with capacities. of 1009 250, 400, 1,600, and 2,500 kilovolt amperes,
a 20-outlet distributing switchboard intended for the transformer station in
Lasko; pneumatic 3,500 watt switches, a "Buchholz" transformer-protector system,
200-9 400-, and 600-ampere switches,.cylindrical and horizontal switches, various
three-phase asynchronous motors, and a new compound generator invented by Professor
Dolenc of the factory?s designing department.
The Osijek Foundry and Agricultural Machine Factory will exhibit planting
machines and potato diggers. The "PobJeda" Factory in Novi Sad will exhibit binders
hay rakes, and mowers. The "ZmaJ" Factory in Zemun will exhibit threshing machines
with a capacity of 1.5 carloads of grain, and seed separators with a capacity of
over one carload of grain, The "Proleter" Factory in Leskovac will exhlbit horse-
drawn beet cultivators:, The "Sumaui,ja" Agricultural Machinery Factory in Belgrade
will exhibit mine presses. .

FACTORY ACQUIRES NEW EQUIPMENT -- Ljubljana, Slovenski Porocevalec, 4 C~t 50
The "Jedinstvo" Factory in Zagreb hoe built a rotary smelting furnace for the
new foundry of the "Titan" Factory in Kamnik, Slovenia. This furnace, as well as
~.cct of tho other machine.f in the foundry, was 3eaigaed by the Institute for the
Construction of Industrial Machinery and Equipment in Ljubljana. The chief machine
designer at the institute is Engr Ivan Gorse, who is mainly responsible for design-
ing the furnace. The First of the Your rotary smelting furnaces needed by the
"Titan" Foundry was built by the "Remont" Enterprise in St Vid in cooperation with
the "Remont" Enterprise in Maribor. These furnaces were later bv.ilt sert.a].ly by
the "Jedinstvo" Factory.
Engineers of the institute have also designed electric winches Yor the foundry.
These winches, which have a lifting capacity of 1-3 tone, are beir:~ built by the
"Remont" Enterprise in Maribor. The institute. further designed machine parts Por
looms (which are already in use in the "Indus" Factory in Ljubljana), a machine
for cutting and grinding movable rollers used in weaving shops, and a special
machine for straightening and perfcratin5 follies Yor the "Reg" Bicycle Factory.
NEFI FACTORIES FOR BOSNIA-Herzegovina -- Belgrade, Rad, 9 Sep 50
The "Novogradnja" Prefabricated?'rnxae Factory in Zavidovici in Bosnia-Herze-
govina began production in February 1970, and now produces six prefabricated
houses per day.
The cellulose factory in Prijedor also began operation this year. It will
help to increase Yugoslav cellulose production 111 percen+,.
A plywood factory is now under construction in Blazuj.
A f]ax-procescing factory and a hemp factory began operation this year in
Teslic and in Dvorovi (i:ar Bijeiina), respectively. Another flaw-procesait;q
factory is being built in Zepce, and a similar factory will be built in Travnik.
A new factory to produce edible oil will be built soon in Brcko. A nail
factory was recently completed in Sarajevo.
FOUNDRY BEGINS OPERATION -- Belgrsde, Bcrba, 18 Sep 50
Ljubljana, 17 September -- The "Unitas" Foundry in Ljubljana began operation
today. It will produce plumbing equipment and other metal household appliances.
