1. OCI memorandum states Brazilian President Goulart is
interested in meeting with President Kennedy to counteract accusations
that his regime is tainted with communism and to complain US is
denying support necessary to Brazil. Memo has been sent to Kaysen.

2. OCI memorandum (ostensibly a correction to an earlier
Checklist) hints that available evidence now points strongly to
Khrushchev having made a quick trip to Bucharest on 24-25 June.
3. Memorandum from General Maxwell Taylor: Sec Def on
21 June approved disestablishment of Joint Staff Intelligence Directorate.
J-2 functions transferred to DIA. D/DIA will assume USIB responsibilities.
