There are approximately 100 Soviet families at ardzhali (11(111A39i EG254;21) and 50-oi.- 60-at Rudozem (N 41-29, E 24-53), in the Rhodope lead-zinc mining area,(ac- 6ording to a chauffeur of Sovbolstroi, the joint Soviet-Bulgarian Construction enterprise). At Ktidzhali, there are no or 50 Soviet specialists, three of wham are: a. Kiselov (fnu), chief of Sovbolstroi; b. Dzhankov (fnu), chief of the "Gorubso" mines; and celPaylov (fnu), chief of the Machines Section. 2. At Rudozem, the Sovbolstroi chief is Ivanavicti (fnu). Among the Soviets, there are engineers, specialized workers, and assemblymen. 3. Throughout the whole mining basin and in each enterprise, the chief is always a Soviet and the assistant chief a Bulgarian. 4. Sovbolstroi, which has its headquarters at Sofia, is divided into fluchasttks" and "poduchastilks" (sections and subsections), among which are the following: a. The "Third Uchastile at Virdzhali, responsible for the whole Rhodope mining basin; Rudozem is one of its bubsectionol, b. Another "uchastilk" (probably the "First Uchastile) At Pasarel 42-32, E 23-30); this section is occupied with the dam at Dtani Pasarel and the electrification of the Sofia region; c. Another "uchasifik" at Sofia, charged with the industrialization of the region; and d.
