1. On 7 August 1952, the 3 Rumanian Artillery Regiment garrisoned at Braila
departed from the Braila railroad station at 2230 hours proceeding in
the direction of Galati. At departure this Regiment'consisted of 783
men. No horses or equipment accompanied the men,
2. It is believed that this Regiment was sent to the Soviet Union to.help
in harvesting the crops.
