Sexism Charged
In Grenada's
Marxist Regime
President Reagan inay head the
feminists' "Least Wanted" list at
? home, but the old Hollywood cow-
boy unwittingly struck a blow for
women's liberation when he ordered
troops into Grenada. The island's
Marxist regime turns out to have
been a hotbed of MCPs-Male
Communist Pigs. ?
The evidence is laid out in a letter
written to the Grenadian authorities
by a loyal party member, Gemma
Greaves, who complained bitterly
about the rampant sexism among
communist officials. The letter,
which was seen by my associate Lu-
cette Lagnado, was one.of many cap-
tured documents turned over to the
CIA ?and State . Department for
study.
Greaves wrote to _ protest her ex-
pulsion from the local communist
party on charges that she claims
were a direct result of harassment of
the mast sordid nature: attempted
sexual assault by a superior officer.
The incident occurred in Cuba,
where the eager apparatchik had
been sent en route to Bulgaria for
training and indoctrination. Greaves
.complained of sexist innuendoes by
WASHINGTON POST

Grenadian commanders, who sug-
gested that "all the sisters `picked up
men in Cuba:' "
This canard was not only "very
damaging and scandalous," Greaves
wrote, but the opposite of what hap-
pened to her. Cmdr. Nelson Louison,
who Greaves said was ogling her
"from the first day he saw me in Cu-
ba," was booked into the same em-
bassy residence in Havana. ?
"He walked into the room where I
was at the time, and started undress-
ing in my presence;" Greaves wrote.
"[He) told me, 'Let's go to sleep.' "
Outraged, Greaves responded with
a few choice four-letter words. Curs-
ing asuperior was one of the reasons
cited for her dismissal.
"I will like to know if I had gone
to bed with him on that night, if my
behavior..in Cuba would have been
good," Greaves wrote. She signed her
letter, "Yours in the struggle."
Help Wanted: I am looking for
whistle blowers to help me seek out
the larceny that lurks in the com-
pounds of government. It takes in-
siders who can .find their way
through the bureaucratic maze to
uncover government scandals.
Your, reward, if you're caught, will
be retaliation. Anyone who tries to-
name thieves and wastrels in govern-
ment, rather than merely lamenting
theft and waste, becomes a target.
I have appealed to the White
House to change this unwritten code.
I have suggested, for example, that
the embattled employe be given one-
tenth of the money he saves the tax-
payers. He could become an over-
night millionaire by showing u's how
federal spendthrifts are wasting mil-
lions here and government contrac-
tors are embezzling millions there. ~-
10 percent reward should be incen-
tive enough to start bureaucrats
scrambling through the _. federal
labyrinth, prying into dark corners,
searching for hidden waste. ??'-
Until the reforms and rewards fire
adopted, whistle blowers grill do bet-
ter to stay in the shadows. If yoU
know of skullduggeries that should I
be stopped, you can contact me in
confidence. I will protect your
anonymity. -
I would also like to hear from or-
dinary citizens who wish to turn the
tables on the federal regulators -and
controllers. '
So I invite citizens everywhere to
help me keep watch on the officials.
If you can cast light on a blunder; an
embarrassment or a scandal, please
contact me. I'll investigate the com-
plaint or refer it to authorities ~ I
trust. .
If you want to join my Whistle-
blowers Anonymous or sign up with
my Citizens Watch, drop the a note
at P.O. Box 2300, Washington, D.C.,
20013. It might have a chastenhig
effect on the bureaucrats-who keep
-such diligent watch on the citizen-
ry-to know, that they are being
watched.
