The Hungarian Foreign Ministry was originally divided ona functional etc, There was also a legal and cons'ilar department, the. latter headed by one Pull y. There was an information department another for finance, and another for teneral administration of buildings, generally regarded as interchangeable. The Western section broke down into a number of sub sections, for instance England and America-headed. by Gal; Latin America, Austria, Switzerland and West Germany, I aly, Egypt and Palestine, Far East and South East Asia, India. The Eastern section covered the Soviet Union, the satellites andEast=i' 1 Among the other departments was the administrative department headed by Szarva, which had about five sections, including one for couriers, these two persons had more than once changed posts and were divisions, East and. West, headed by Imre Kutasz Y,nd Irene Rya. The political department was,subdivi.ded territorially into two ma or subject basis; it had been decided to reoganize the structure on a territorial basis but this process had by no means been completed.
