THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION LI MI PREPARING TO RETURN TO YUNHAIi ArM VISIT TO T'AI-PEI Chung Fang Special Correspondent T'ai-pei, 9 February -- General Li Mi arrived in T'ai-pei or 7 Feb- ruar . He has been holding consultations with various depants our government about supplies and strategy and has been bbusily a ongaged in holding secret military conferences. Nov that his business is finished, General Li is to return to his as- signed sector of defense. Gen Li has denied that the KMT troops have entered either Burma or Thailand; he averred that the Koff' forces are still within Yunnan engaged in a life and death struggle with the Communist bandits. He further added that life at the front is full of hardships but that the morale of the troops was high. operationsevery . L i, major battle, and me Li have there refused personaly to t lay down their arms and are determined to fight the Communist forces to the bitter end. Because they are unable to supprese the remaining RI forces which are growing stronger, the Chinese Commun`_sts are now fabricating stories that the XMl'forces are invading Burma and nearby countries in the hope that they may get outside help to crush these forces.
